Usborne Books Read - A - Thon

On November 2, the Usborne Book Fairy came to visit Oak River School. We had a lot of fun going through all the different types of books that Usborne has to offer.  The students were all very excited to participate in the read-a-thon and were caught doing lots of extra reading throughout the launch!  Those who participated in the read-a-thon also were involved in some fun reading activities in the library and some great reading prizes were awarded.  The students read a total of 6,012 minutes during the 10 day period of the read-a-thon!!  We had great co-operation from both the students and parents and our goals were reached.  I hope you all enjoy your new books and continue to read, read, read!!
