There is a greater need in this ever-shrinking world for better communication between individuals and nations. Our two Canadian languages are those most widely used in the international business world. With this in mind, grade 5 - 8 students at Onanole are in the 9 year Basic French Program. The course is taught using the communicative approach. Students develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The benefits of learning French are outlined. Here are just some of the reasons for taking this subject in school:
