Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year.

Things are nicely underway at the Rolling River School Division Board table with the Trustees and Senior Administration hard at work on the Strategic Plan for the Division. The Board of Trustees collectively commits to the vision, mission and belief statement of Rolling River School Division and the impact they have on the success of our students. The Division’s four priorities (Literacy, Numeracy, Health and Well-Being, and Cultural Proficiency) are always at the forefront of all decisions made in regards to the education of Rolling River School Division students.

The Board continues to attend professional development opportunities to ensure we are making sound decisions in our governance of Rolling River School Division. At the end of each Board meeting, I share some of the 94 Calls to Action from the "Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action" report for the Board to reflect on.

The quote, “it takes a village to raise a child” , from the traditional African proverb, resonates throughout our Division. We, the Board of Trustees, look forward to working collaboratively with the Senior Administration team, staff, families, and communities, of the students of Rolling River School Division, to provide the most fulfilling education possible for our children. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank our stakeholders for the integral role each and every one of you have in the education of our students. We have much to be proud of each day in Rolling River School Division.
