Career Preparation and Explorations

Home Grade 9 Grade 10 Grade 11 Grade 12

Welcome to the Minnedosa Collegiate Career Preparation and Explorations Program.  We have developed this web site so that we can keep our students and parents informed on the latest developments on the Career Development front at our school.

The Career Development program is an innovative program which is offered to all grades 9 through 12 throughout the Rolling River School Division.  This program provides our students with an opportunity to learn the skills, habits, and attitudes to help them become successful employees/employers in the work world.  It's fun, educational and ignites ideas within the students.

The Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy noted that "The demand for skilled and knowledgeable workers in all types of jobs in Canada will soon be greater than the number of people trained and ready to work."  With this in mind, the Rolling River School Division has committed to addressing this need by providing a program that aims at providing our students with the skills and learning opportunities so they can fully participate in our labour market now and in the future.

In the 2008/09 school year we have brought numerous changes to the program.  We, after careful review of the program, felt it was necessary to re-evaluate and update the program to better fulfill all of our students needs. For more information regarding these changes please follow the link below.
