Programs Offered

Library Services: Our library offers a wide variety of resources including books, "talking books", magazines, videos and software.

Outdoor Classroom: The Outdoor Classroom is a Home/School initiative, in which a portion of our schoolyard is being developed as an outdoor lab. In our garden, we have planted a variety of domestic and wild plants, as well as a vegetable plot. Recently, our Outdoor Classroom committee received a $4000 grant, which will be used to buy related print materials, binoculars and other educational support materials. This spring, the committee added a sand point, hydro and a storage shed to the site.

Field Trips: The number, frequency and types of field trips vary from class to class. They are organized at the discretion of the teacher. Field trips are organized as a learning experience and student participation is expected. (In the event that a student will not be allowed to go for disciplinary reasons, parents will be notified in advance). Field trip information will be sent home in advance of the event. Parental permission will be required for all field trips.

Please note that parents who are designated chaperones are covered by the Division's insurance policy. However, pre-schoolers and non-authorized people are not covered under this policy and cannot ride the bus.
