After all the plants have been grown in the greenhouse, its time for the horticulture class to plant around the town of Erickson. We started with the friendship garden, which was filled with a number of marigolds, cosmos and petunias. You can view this garden and all its color on your way downtown, its located across from Parkland Home. We then travelled to the Credit Union and the Viking ship where smaller planters were filled with petunias and Gazanias. The next gardens done were the Erickson Recreation centre sign and a planter at the Erickson Campground. The Erickson Highway sign was our largest garden to plant using well over 50 plants to fill that garden! The horticulture class had another successful growing year. The only projects left are the cleanup of the greenhouse and preparations for next year.
