About Our School

Rapid City is a small town of four hundred people in the Little Saskatchewan River valley just twenty minutes north of Brandon. Rapid City has many activities and options for people of all ages and we offer a large variety of things for the children to do here at the school.

We currently have seventy-seven students in six classrooms with sixteen staff members in Rapid City. Our staff members are Mrs. V. Kolesar, Mrs. Gregorash, Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. Nykorak, Mrs. Hrymak, Mrs. Hardy, Mrs. MacDonald, Mrs. Alex, Mrs. van Meijl, Mrs. English, Mrs. Low, Ms. Stocks, Mrs. D. Kolesar, Mrs. Leys, Mr. Thomson and Mr. Keith.

Our priorities for the year include early literacy and numeracy as well as respect and wellness. Our Parent Group meets once a month at the school and does wonderful things for the students and staff. Our local volunteers help in many ways and continue to be a key to the success
that we experience as a learning community.

We have been using daily organizers for all students from Kindergarten to Grade Eight during the last number of years and have found them to be a great form of communication. We are looking forward to another super year!
