French will be introduced at the Grade Three level, as an exposure program and is compulsory from Grade Four to Eight. It is not optional and everyone will be in either the regular French program or an accommodated or modified one.
Home Economics and Industrial Arts are taught to the Grade Seven and Eight students in Minnedosa on Day Five in the morning. All students should be at school by 8:25 am on shops/home ec. days.
Music is taught to our Kindergarten to Grade Six students and includes both formal music studies as well as choir singing, both are mandatory.
Band is an optional program offered to the Grade Seven and Eight students. They are bussed to Forrest for this opportunity. Students who opt into this program will miss some regular school work and will be expected to catch up although we try to schedule classes to avoid this as much as possible. The students should be at school by 8:25 on their band day.
Computers are available for the students and internet access is available under supervision. Computers are integrated into the student’s regular classes and there is a lab and separate computers in all of the classrooms. All people using computers at school will be required to sign a form listing the conditions of use. |
