Milk Program: White milk and chocolate milk are sold during the lunch hour. We encourage students wanting to buy milk at school to purchase a A Milk Card. This eliminates the need for students to have to carry money to school daily to purchase milk. A sample of our Milk Card is shown below. We know milk is an important part of every child = s diet., therefore we make every attempt to keep prices as low as possible . Milk Cards may be purchased at the front office for the following prices:

$5.00 = 9 milk + 1 FREE (K, 1, 2)

$5.00 = 7 milk + 1 FREE (Grs. 3-8)

$10.00 = 19 milk + 1 FREE (K, 1, 2)

$10.00 = 15 milk + 1 FREE (Grs. 3-8)

$20.00 = 39 milk + 1 FREE (K, 1, 2)

$20.00 = 31 milk + 1 FREE (Grs. 3-8

Individual milk purchase = .50 ea. (K, 1, 2)

Individual milk purchase = .75 ea. (Grs. 3-8)

* * Since our milk is now sold in cups, we are able to keep servings more in proportion to the age of the child. Kindergarten, Gr. 1 & 2 students receive more servings of a slightly lesser amount.

Milk Cards are distributed to classrooms just prior to lunch every day. Students are encouraged to return their card to the milk counter daily, whether or not they choose to buy milk that day, or they may leave it in the classroom milk card pocket .

For the past few years the Manitoba Milk Producers Marketing Board has sponsored a lunch milk program. Students in Grades K - 4 receive an entry ballot on random days to fill out if they purchase milk at school, bring milk from home or drink milk at home during lunch hour. Draws are made randomly throughout the year and the students have a chance to win some really nice prizes such as note pads, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, t-shirts, key chains, scribblers, plus much, much more! A Scratch n = Win ticket program is run for students in Grades 5 to 8 with similar prizes awarded. These prizes are provided free of charge by the Manitoba Milk Producers Marketing Board.
