Rapid City

Honor Roll includes students in Grades Five to Eight and any student with an overall average of eighty percent or more will receive a certificate at the final awards ceremony.

School Dances

1. All dance proposals are to be in at least 2 weeks prior to the dance/soc-hop.

2. All dances must have one teacher and one parent in attendance the whole time.

3. Dances with the exception of Grad will start at 7:00 pm and end at 9:30 pm. The Grad dance will go from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

4. If a child will be arriving after 7:30 pm they must make arrangements in advance because the doors will be closed and locked at 7:30pm.

5. Dances are an extension of our school day and all school rules apply. The dress code will be more lenient for dances but is still in place. Therefore, anyone not sure of a piece of clothing should bring it in ahead of time and check with Mrs. Slashinsky and the supervising teacher.

6. The rate of admission and theme will be set by the Student Council.

7. Only students enrolled in Grades 5-8 in Rapid City School may attend with the exception of the Grad Dance. Students may bring an invited guest up to Sr. 1 to the Grad Dance if prior approval is received from Mrs. Slashinsky.
