Bringing Christmas Joy to Jacob

The source file is in the Intranet. Any change made to this page will be overwritten by the update from Intranet.

The students at Rapid City School were given opportunity to make Christmas cards for Jacob Thompson, a 9-year-old boy living in Portland, Maine who is living with terminal Stage 4 Cancer. Jacob has one month to live. Jacob and his family have one request- that he celebrate Christmas early this year. He would like to receive as many Christmas cards as he can. Our students happily took on this challenge. So far, about half  of our school's population have made a card for Jacob and they will be sent Priority Post so that we can be sure that he will enjoy them at his early Christmas celebration in the Maine Medical Center.

Jacob's favorite animal is a penguin and his favorite poem is called "Advice From a Penguin"

Dive into life.

Find warmth among friends.

Stay cool and just give to others

The students and staff at Rapid City School are grateful that we have this experience to remind us of what Christmas is really about.

If you would like to send Jacob a card, please send it to:
