Awards
Ram Medallions
Students recognized for Medallions and other learning achievement must meet the following criteria:
- Achievement of Knowledge and Skills Specific to the Course(s) Taken : The student must exceed standards and expectations of the course(s).
- Fosters a Positive Learning Environment : The student is positive and cooperative in participating in classes. He/She makes contributions to the course either within or in addition to classroom work.
- Interpersonal Skills : The student consistently models cooperative skills by seeking to improve performance through reflection and goal setting, encourages others, involvement in group work, receptivity to instruction and coaching.
- Efforts and Work Habits : The student always demonstrated very good quality work and effort and takes initiative.
- Organization and Time Management : The student demonstrates consistently effective organization and time management by meeting or exceeding deadlines and expectations for assignments/projects. The student consistently demonstrates productive use of class time.
MEDALLIONS: They are awarded for excellence in three categories:
Academic
School Service
Athletics
To qualify for Academic recognition a student must have earned an overall average of at least 80% in the current school year.
To qualify for School Service recognition a student must have completed at least 30 hours of service activities. Students are responsible for keeping track of their hours on the appropriate form. Students are responsible to get the signature of the supervising teacher for each activity. Completed forms must be turned into the office by June 8, 2007. Ideas to get school service hours include: school clubs, scorekeeping, helping teachers and staff, helping in the canteen.
To qualify for Athletics recognition a student must have been a participant on two school teams for the duration of that sport.
GOLD MEDALLION: To receive this medallion a student must excel in all three areas.
SILVER MEDALLION: To receive this medallion a student must have excelled in at least two of the three categories of excellence.
BRONZE MEDALLION: To receive this medallion a student must have excelled in one of the three categories of excellence. |
