PEER TUTORING

Tutees :

• Students who are experiencing difficulty in a specific subject
• Students who require one-to-one assistance
• Students who want to be more organized
• Students who are serious about learning

Tutors :

• Students who want to help others improve
• Students who have leadership qualities
• Students who experience some academic success
• Students who are sensitive to the needs of others

Peer Tutoring Program :

• Offered weekly during noon hours for all students
• Students work on homework, problem areas or teacher suggestions
• Tutees volunteer to join or are encouraged by a parent or teacher
• Tutors and tutees match up by choice and according to subject area
• Selections of tutors done through application form and interview
• Tutors receive ongoing training and evaluation
