Over the winter of 2017-18, grade 6 students Riley Kruzer and Ethan Laliberte worked on a "Harvard" pedal plane replica, building it from a kit. Over the course of the build the students learned how to use a number of tools in the TCS shop under the supervision of Mr. Sheppard. When the plane was completed, the boys and Mr. Sheppard traveled to the Commonwealth Air Training Plane Museum and donated it to the museum. Executive Director Stephen Hayter accepted the plane on behalf of the organization, and emphasized how much fun the planes were for the museum's youngest visitors. After the presentation, Riley and Ethan got a quick tour of the museum before returning to TCS. Thanks go out to the Minnedosa Foundation and the local United Church AOTS for their financial support of the project.
